STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOES NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove will not start, ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the oven power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, that means a different part of the appliance will have to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be an infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not heat will not do much good. An oven will not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner will not heat when an element breaks or if the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We can troubleshoot and repair these issues in under 1-2 hours after our arrival.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is extremely hot, it could be due to a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians are able to identify the location of the problem and then fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter glows but it will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We determine whether we can fix these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN
